het kostte me aardig wat moeite door het amerikaanse en militaire heen te prikken, maar als je lukt krijgt je mooie inzichten

Brilliant book。 Ties in well with the extreme ownership book without being repetitive。 Highly recommend for any leaders out there。

Loved it! Learned a lot。

Good collection of bite-sized leadership snippets。 Not as in-depth as Jocko's first two books in the series, but a good accompanying read。 Good collection of bite-sized leadership snippets。 Not as in-depth as Jocko's first two books in the series, but a good accompanying read。 。。。more

First, I’m a fan of pretty much anything Jocko Willink writes。 Through my experience, I find his perspectives on leadership to be spot on。 Second, each section is in short digestible chunks, making it a fairly quick and easy read with nice breakpoints。 Finally, this little book is organized in such a way it can be easily referenced for a variety of scenarios, whether you’re in a position of leadership or not。 Situations may not apply to you now, but if/when they do, you can pull this book out as First, I’m a fan of pretty much anything Jocko Willink writes。 Through my experience, I find his perspectives on leadership to be spot on。 Second, each section is in short digestible chunks, making it a fairly quick and easy read with nice breakpoints。 Finally, this little book is organized in such a way it can be easily referenced for a variety of scenarios, whether you’re in a position of leadership or not。 Situations may not apply to you now, but if/when they do, you can pull this book out as a handy reference。 My one nitpick is related to this—there’s a lot of repetition throughout, but it’s likely needed given the intended standalone structure of the chapters/sections。 I highly recommend picking this book up (along with Extreme Ownership)—I expect I’ll refer to it often。 。。。more

As Stevo’s Novel Ideas, I am a long-time book reviewer, member of the media, an Influencer, and a content provider。 I received this book as a review copy from either the author, the publisher or a publicist。 I have not been compensated for this recommendation。 I have selected it as Stevo's Business Book of the Week for the week of 10/8, as it stands heads above other recently published books on this topic。 As Stevo’s Novel Ideas, I am a long-time book reviewer, member of the media, an Influencer, and a content provider。 I received this book as a review copy from either the author, the publisher or a publicist。 I have not been compensated for this recommendation。 I have selected it as Stevo's Business Book of the Week for the week of 10/8, as it stands heads above other recently published books on this topic。 。。。more

I'm usually quite suspicious of books touting "revolutions in leadership" or "leadership guides" in general, as they often seem to contain a lot of bogus pseudo-psychological knowledge that will do you little to no good in a boots-on-the-ground situation。However, this one has suprised me very positively。 Many concepts this book contains are stellar maxims of leadership, first and foremost the concept of "extreme ownership", and willink absolutely knows what he's talking about。However, one issue I'm usually quite suspicious of books touting "revolutions in leadership" or "leadership guides" in general, as they often seem to contain a lot of bogus pseudo-psychological knowledge that will do you little to no good in a boots-on-the-ground situation。However, this one has suprised me very positively。 Many concepts this book contains are stellar maxims of leadership, first and foremost the concept of "extreme ownership", and willink absolutely knows what he's talking about。However, one issue i have that this book often feels like it's very military-oriented and i don't really see how you could apply some of the advice in this book to a civilian leadership position。 Now, i'm in the military, so i really don't give a hoot, but others might find some of the advice hard to execute。Overall however, a great read。 。。。more

I was disappointed in this book。 I have loved everything Jocko has written, but this was all regurgitated into a shorter form。 I think this book would be helpful to someone in the military, but other than that, stick to his other books as they are more in-depth, and you get the same information。
